“Only just the beginning…” (?!?!) Who is the terrorist?
How can we(people of the world – goyimi) not hate zionist jews ?! How?
No matter what justifications are provided by the Israel’s government, there are no words unfortunately in any language’s literature that can help them justify this bloodbath. And just look at the ratios: 3000 people killed in Lebanon for 2 armed Israeli soldiers & now 200 Palestinians killed & nearly as many injured, for Hamas’ rockets that killed 1 israeli & barely injured 5 others. Truly we live in a world where terrorists are called victims & victims are called terrorists.
They are children murderers ! THEY ARE THE REAL TERRORISTS!
During the truce people in Gaza have been surviving in the blockade without food without medicine without electricity. And yet it is still called a truce. Some say that they have been living under fire for more than 8 years. What about Palestinians who have been living under fire for more than 50 years? It is always good to think that we are right so we can sleep every night. The problem is that as long as their hands are smelling blood they cannot sleep. isn’t it ironic…
Israel has just lost its right to exist! How long we will accept that Israel break all of the international laws and all of the sense of humanity word… They didn’t learn anything from the Holocaust ! They only have learned from the nazis …
These attacks come after a murderous siege against Gaza. Bombing civilians constitutes a War crime and should be sanctioned. The European Union should immediatly abolish all cooperation (Association Agreement and Neighbourhood Policy) with Israel.
…All hidden under the name of defence, when they are clearly acts of terrorism. How can peace be established with oppression and destruction? And the building of illegal settlements? It is only provoking violence and retaliation. Israel should truthfully adhere to the UN resolutions, cease covering up their acts, and treat the Palestinians with dignity and respect…
…. at least 280 people( the highest death toll in a single day in the territory since the end of the 1967 Six Day War),alot of them women and children, have been killed in an Israeli aerial bombardment on Hamas security installations.
…. at least 700 people had been wounded.
Ehud Barak, the Israeli defence minister, said that the operation would not be short.
“The operation will go on and be intensified as long as necessary,” he said on Saturday.
Gaza is densely populated. Its 1.5 million residents area already experiencing shortages in medicine, power and basic supplies due to 18 months of an Israeli blockade.
…Palestinians counted about attacks in the early hours of Sunday, after more than 225 people had been killed and hundreds of other injured in air raids the previous day as Israel launched Operation Cast Lead.
Mustafa Barghouthi, former Palestinian information minister:
“Israel is not targeting Hamas alone. Israel is targeting the whole Palestinian population, which has left 200 families with dead sons, husbands and fathers.
“Gaza is left today with nothing, no bread, no oil, electricity and medication even to treat the injured people.
“This criminal attack is directed at the will of the Palestinian people. It’s an effort to break the Palestinian demand for freedom, independence and justice.
“It’s impossible to equate Hamas with Israel. All the rockets Hamas have shot have not killed a single Israeli till today.
“During the same year of the so-called Annapolis peace process, Israel killed 546 Palestinians, including 76 children, more than half of them in the West Bank.
“The aggression is from one side. Israel has probably the fourth-largest military in the world, it is the fourth-largest military-exporter in the world, it has nuclear heads.
“Today, it used 60 sophisticated jet fighters in Gaza who have nothing to defend themselves with.
“Israel wants this escalation to break the backbone of the Palestinian people, but they won’t break us.”
Fears of invasion are growing after Israel called up thousands of reservists and moved dozens of tanks to the Gaza Strip border.
The move follows one of the bloodiest days in 60 years of conflict between the Palestinians and the Jewish state, in which more than 280 people in Gaza were killed.
Some of the missiles struck in densely populated areas as children were leaving school and women rushed into the streets frantically looking for their children.
Mothers tried desperately to reach their children through the smoke that filled the streets, along with the sound of ambulance sirens and the cries of grieving relatives.
Shopkeeper Said Masri, 57, who sent out his nine-year-old son to buy cigarettes minutes before the air strikes began, sat in the middle of a Gaza City street close to a security compound, alternately slapping his face and covering his head with dust from the bombed-out building.
‘My son is gone, my son is gone,’ he wailed.
‘May I burn like the cigarettes, may Israel burn.’
Corpses rolled up in blankets filled hospital floors, awaiting identification.
‘We are treating people on the floor, in the corridors. We have no more space. We don’t know who is here or who to treat first,’ said one doctor.
Scenes (Sameh A. Habeeb):
…A family of 9 members, 15 young children, and some women were killed but not recognized. The Ministry of Health is not able to recognize the ID’s of casualties.
…Gaza hospitals announced inability of receiving the wounded due to lack of medical equipment and tools. Corpses of Palestinians were thrown on the corridors, rooms and units of hospitals. Meanwhile 2-3 wounded victims shared one bed due to lack of medical equipment, a result of the Israeli siege imposed 2 years ago. Basim Nai’m, Health Minster in Gaza said that Gaza medical sector needs tens of kinds of medical equipment and tools. A number of 70 wounded were referred to an Egyptian hospital.
…The raids targeted all areas of Gaza Strip, cities, villages and towns. The hit cities are Gaza, Rafah, Khanyonis, Nusairat, Maghazi, Bait Lahia, Jabalia, Bait Hanoun. Refugee camps of Jabalia, Al Shati’, Rafah an mid areas were targeted as well. Some of the destroyed compounds included Palestinian prisoners under penal detention for criminal issues.
…The Israeli bombings flagrantly violate all laws which call for protecting civilians. This was so obvious from the number of civilian casualties. The brutal bombings happened in time of school children were going home, after a normal day of study. A considerable number of children were killed…
The UN Security Council has been unable to force an end to Israeli attacks against Gaza due to the intervention of the United States.
Washington once again used its veto powers on Sunday to block a resolution calling for an end to the massive ongoing Israeli attacks against the Gaza Strip.
The council has only been able to issue a ‘non-binding’ statement that calls on Israel to voluntarily bring all its military activities in the besieged region to an immediate end.
